PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
40Cr alloy steel plate is a high-performance alloy structural steel widely used in the field of mechanical manufacturing. 40Cr is equivalent to the American standard AISI 5140. It has become the preferred material in the industry for its excellent comprehensive mechanical properties and diversified heat treatment adaptability. The material is designed with high-quality alloy components. Through quenching and tempering, it can obtain high strength, good toughness and fatigue resistance. It is suitable for manufacturing mechanical parts that bear medium loads and medium speeds, such as automotive steering knuckles, rear axles, and machine tool gears, transmission shafts, worms, spline shafts and other core parts. Its unique advantage is that it can achieve high surface hardness and wear resistance through high-frequency quenching process, meeting the performance requirements of precision parts in an environment without strong impact. Typical applications include high-precision transmission components such as gears, sleeves, crankshafts, spindles, pins, etc.; after quenching and medium-low temperature tempering process, it is more capable of manufacturing parts under heavy load conditions to ensure structural strength and durability. In addition, 40Cr steel has excellent compatibility with carbonitriding treatment, which can significantly improve the surface hardening effect and low-temperature toughness of large-size gears, transmission shafts and other parts, making it a reliable choice for key transmission systems in engineering machinery, automobile manufacturing, heavy equipment and other fields. With its multi-process adaptability and wide-ranging coverage, 40Cr alloy steel plate has become an ideal solution for balancing performance requirements and cost-effectiveness in modern industry.

PRODUCT FEATURES
Excellent comprehensive mechanical properties>>Through quenching and tempering treatment, a balance of high strength, good toughness and fatigue resistance is achieved to meet the requirements of medium load and medium speed operation conditions.
Strong adaptability to heat treatment>>Supports multiple processes such as quenching and tempering, high-frequency quenching, medium and low temperature tempering, and can flexibly adjust the surface hardness (high wear resistance) and core toughness to adapt to different working conditions (such as heavy load, wear resistance, impact resistance, etc.).
Wide range of applications>>Covering automobiles, machine tools, heavy machinery and other fields, suitable for manufacturing key transmission and load-bearing components such as gears, shafts, connecting rods, crankshafts, etc., taking into account the needs of precision parts and large structural parts.
High process compatibility>>Especially suitable for carbonitriding treatment, which can significantly improve the surface hardening effect and low-temperature toughness, and meet the performance requirements of parts in large sizes or low temperature environments.
Outstanding cost-effectiveness>>While ensuring high performance, it has good processability and economy, and is the preferred material in the industrial field that takes into account performance requirements and cost control.

APPLICATION
Automobile industry: manufacturing key motion and transmission parts such as automobile steering knuckles, rear axles, crankshafts, connecting rods, pins, intake valves, etc. that bear medium loads.
Machine tool equipment: used for processing precision transmission components such as gears, spindles, drive shafts, worms, spline shafts, top sleeves, etc., to meet medium-speed operation and precision requirements.
Surface-strengthened parts: after high-frequency quenching, they are suitable for working conditions such as gears, sleeves, shafts, etc. that require high surface hardness (wear resistance) and no strong impact.
Heavy-loaded parts: through quenching combined with medium and low temperature tempering process, heavy-loaded parts are manufactured, such as mandrels, high-strength screws, large connecting rods, etc. in heavy machinery.
Composite-treated parts: suitable for transmission system parts treated by carbonitriding, such as large-diameter gears and shafts for low-temperature environments, with high hardening layer depth and low-temperature toughness.
General machinery field: widely used in connectors, transmission parts and structural support parts in hydraulic systems, engineering machinery, and agricultural equipment, balancing strength and processing economy requirements.
